Harstad is renowned for its beautiful scenery, which you can experience in several different ways. Amongst other things you can go Deep Sea Rafting, helicopter sightseeing, scuba diving, fishing, sailing or try a whale safari. In the winter you can ski at the Sollifjellet Alpine Centre.
Culture and history
Harstad and its nearby places has a lot of sights to offer. Experience historical sites such as the Trondenes Historical Centre, Hemmestad Wharf and Salangen Rural Museum. You can see art exhibits at Galleri Nord-Norge and the Trastad Collections. In addition Harstad Kulturhus offers a variety of concerts and shows.
Golf
Harstad Golf Course is situated about a 10 minute drive from Thon Hotel Harstad, and offers a 9-hole course with grand scenery. The course has a yellow/red tee for each round, giving the course an 18-hole character.
