Thon Hotel Highland is centrally located in Geilo. The hotel was recently renovated, and features Geilo’s largest conference department, a magnificent newly rehabilitated SPA and a wide range of food and drink.
Food and drink at the hotel
Our main restaurant seats 250 - 300 guests. The dishes made here, feature all seasonal ingredients, composed to make plain good cooking.
The hotel also features Cafe Leo, which is decorated with original graphic prints from Edvard Munch, and also benefits from magnificent views of the mountains. The cafe also serves lunch, steaks and an à la carte menu. We also house United Bakeries, which serves coffee, cakes, bread and sandwiches.
Attractions and other things to do at the hotel
Geilo is renowned as one of the best ski and activity destinations in Norway. It features everything you need for cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, climbing, snowkiting and most of the other winter activities you could think of. The Hardanger plain scenery is also excellent for hiking, cycling and other outdoor activities in the summer.

Thon Hotel Highland features a completely new SPA and a newly refurbished poolside area, with a new fitness room, offering a range of fitness and weights machines. We have furnished our Spa department in a rough, rustic style, and our skilled therapists can tailor a treatment specially for you in one of our excellent treatment rooms.
